A small group of PJHS Varsity Runnin’ Raiders, coached by HS teacher John Wright, took part in the Armory Holiday Classic in New York City over winter break. Our top performers were Troi Roberts, TJ Fergus, and Constentino Proscia. Troi ran a season-best time in the 200m and placed 18th out of 80 girls. TJ finished 6th in the triple jump with a season-best jump of 38’8” and is the second Port jumper to place at the classic. Constentino placed 2nd in the long jump with a school record of 21’4”. His jump qualified him for the Nike Indoor National Championships which will take place on March 10th of 2023. Constentino is the ninth Runnin’ Raider to qualify for nationals since 2011. Congratulations to these outstanding athletes!
