The Port Jervis Varsity Football team defeated Middletown last week 33-19 to bring the historic Erie Bell back to Port Jervis. In pregame ceremonies, Senior Tyler Montalvo (pictured, #55 with Head Coach Damien Striharsky) was announced as the winner of the Faller Award, and the US Marine Corps presented Senior Tyler Howard (pictured, #7) with the Great American Rivalry Game Award. After the game, Senior Jacob Balmos was announced as the game MVP and Junior Logan Morris was presented with the honor of offensive player of the game. Additionally Port Jervis' kicker, Junior, Alexa Bennett added her name to the history books with her PATs, becoming the first female player to score points in the annual rivalry game, which began in 1897. Congratulations to the team and the coaches on a great game and the win.
