A Message From Your Principal
Dear Port Jervis Middle School Families,
As the Principal of Port Jervis Middle School, I am honored to lead a school that is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inspiring environment for our students.
At Port Jervis Middle School, we believe that middle school is a pivotal time for growth, discovery, and development. Our mission is to provide a supportive and dynamic learning environment where every student is encouraged to explore their interests, develop their skills, and reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our dedicated staff is committed to delivering a rigorous and engaging curriculum, complemented by a variety of extracurricular activities that promote both academic and personal growth. This year we are continuing with our 2 honors courses in 7th grade and 4 honors/ accelerated courses in 8th grade as well as providing Project Lead the Way to our students. We aim to support our students and build strong partnerships with families that will enhance the school experience and ensure success for our students. Building relationships is at the heart of our approach.
This year we are thrilled to be moving into our new space on the Route 209 campus and to have 6th grade join the middle school experience. This is an exciting milestone for both incoming 6th and 7th grade students as they transition from elementary to middle school. The addition of 6th grade enriches our school community and allows us to offer a more comprehensive middle school experience. Our goal is to make this transition as smooth and engaging as possible. Our new space and expanded facilities will enable us to offer a wide array of activities designed to spark curiosity and foster creativity. Whether it’s sports, arts, or academic clubs, there are countless opportunities for students to explore their interests and develop new talents.
Here is to a fantastic year ahead at Port Jervis Middle School!
