New York Education Law requires that scoliosis screenings are conducted in school if results of scoliosis screening are not provided to the school on the student’s health certificate for all female students in grade 7.
The purpose of the school screening program is to identify students with spinal curvatures that will require further follow-up evaluation by a healthcare provider.
Scoliosis screenings will be done the week of March 27, 2023, for all students who do not have one on file.
You will be notified of any suspected problems and requested to have your private doctor examine your child.
