Hello PJMS Middle Schoolers! We are excited to welcome you to the 2021 - 2022 school year and the Middle School. Mrs. Cook and I will also be new to 7th grade this year so we join you in your excitement of a new grade, new school, and new students. This letter will provide important information to better prepare you for the upcoming year. 7th grade is an important time in your social and academic growth as you begin to face new challenges, take on more responsibility, and come together from your respective elementary schools to become a unified class: The Class of 2027. Through all of this, our number one priority will be to build relationships and community in our school. We want to make sure that all Port Jervis Middle School students feel connected and supported by faculty, staff and administrators.
The first day of school is Thursday September 2, 2021.
Students report to homeroom at 7:28 am.
In homeroom you are given:
- Class Schedule
- Locker number and combination
- Agenda Planner
- PJCSD Code of Conduct
You will need to bring your PJCSD provided Chromebook to school, charged and ready to use each day. If you do not have a school issued device, one will be provided at the start of the school year. You can also find a list of school supplies on the PJCSD website: www.pjschools.org on the Middle School page.
We will hold a student/parent 7th grade orientation night on Monday August 30, 2021 at PJMS. All students and parents are invited to attend and we really encourage you to attend. It will be a chance for you to meet us and vice versa. There will be two time slots available, 5pm & 6pm.
