Dear Members of the PJMS Community,
This letter is to update you of changes in the NYS assessments as it pertains to our 7th and 8th grade students.
As you know, all PJMS students take both ELA and Math assessments and 8th graders have a Science assessment as well.
The ELA and Math assessments are (CBT) computer based tests and have been adjusted for this (unusual) school year. Both assessments have been dramatically reduced from two sections to one section. The time for the one section is limited to approximately one class period which will be incorporated into a regular school day. Our schedule for testing is:

Students who are All Remote are not expected to come to the building for testing. However, if interested in participating, please call the PJMS Guidance Department.
If parents or students have any questions or concerns about any of the assessments please call the PJMS Guidance Department.
Any requests to opt-out of any assessments must be received in writing to the PJMS Guidance Department prior to the testing day.
