On March 23rd, five students from the Port Jervis Middle School participated in the Science Olympiad at the Mid-Hudson Regional Tournament. They competed in such diverse events as Anatomy and Physiology, The Solar System, Disease Detectives, Write It / Do It and Potions and Poisons.
In a trial event 8th graders Tyler Howard and Josh Gore took First Place medals by designing a wind powered vehicle that beat the efforts of 12 other teams.
Also on the PJMS team were 8th graders Jordan Henderson, Molly Koenig, and Penny Jones.
Their Coach, Mr. Johnson, would like to congratulate and thank them for their hard work and dedication.
