7th-grade scientists in action!
As part of their study of chemical reactions in physical science, students completed a hydrogen peroxide decomposition lab, commonly referred to as “elephant toothpaste.” During the investigation, hydrogen peroxide broke down and rapidly produced oxygen gas, resulting in a foamy reaction. Students used their observations to identify evidence of a chemical change, including gas production and energy release.
