PJMS: Characteristics of Life

Check out this classroom spotlight at PJMS! Our 8th-grade Life Science students recently put their observation skills to the test! Using real specimens—like moss, acorns, unfertilized salmon eggs, and bark with fungus—they explored the characteristics of life. Students worked together to make careful observations and inferences, then classified each sample as living, nonliving, potential for life, or dead. Great hands-on science in action!
