PJMS: 7th Grade Field Trip

7th grade advisors Taylor Wygant & Zackary Barrett set up an education field trip for the class to head down to Ogdensburg, NJ, to The Sterling Hill Mining Museum.

The students learned about the zinc mine, the history behind it, why it closed, and why it opened as a museum.

The 2nd day boys' team tour was fortunate to have a fantastic guide who brought them through every facet of the mine.  He also turned out to be a 1999 graduate of the Port Jervis High School, Randall Hutchinson.

Very cool indeed!
