We are incredibly proud to recognize three outstanding second-grade HBE students—Molly Schaaf, Madison Kinzel, and Jackson Morris—who qualified for the prestigious First in Math Statewide Mathematics Tournament held at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany on Saturday, June 13.
Out of thousands of students across New York State, only 240 students in grades 1–8 earned a spot in this highly competitive event. Molly, Madison, and Jackson represented our school with determination, teamwork, and exceptional mathematical skill, scoring an impressive 415 out of a possible 500 points.
While they did not advance to the final round, qualifying for the tournament and competing among the state's top young mathematicians is an extraordinary accomplishment. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, perseverance, and dedication to learning. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement and for representing our school with pride!
