HBE welcomed community members for its annual Leadership Day on May 29, providing students with an opportunity to learn from local professionals and leaders. Guest speakers visited classrooms throughout the day, sharing insights about their careers and roles within the community, as well as discussing the importance of healthy habits, educational experiences, goal setting, and overcoming challenges. They also reflected on influential people in their lives and the paths that led them to their chosen professions. Students actively engaged with the presenters by asking questions and learning more about a variety of career fields and life experiences. The day also featured an exciting demonstration by local law enforcement agencies and their K-9 partners, giving students a firsthand look at the important work performed by these teams. In addition, volunteers from the high school's Varsity Club and Athletes Helping Athletes organization led outdoor activity stations, encouraging teamwork and participation. Leadership Day was a memorable and enriching experience for students, highlighting the value of community involvement, leadership, and lifelong learning.
