HBE’s mentor program gives students the opportunity to meet with staff members throughout our school to talk, play games, and build positive connections throughout the building, in addition to the ones they already have in their classrooms. Staff members volunteer to serve as mentors and dedicate one lunch period each week to spending time with their students.
We recently celebrated the end of the mentor program for this school year with a dessert party and thank you to our amazing mentors! Our students shared how grateful they were for the adults in our building who took the time to connect with them each week during lunch.
