On October 23rd, the Port Jervis High School held its bi-annual Student Wellness & Volunteer Fair. The event began with an assembly featuring Blaise Gomez, a general assignment reporter for News 12 Hudson Valley. Ms. Gomez spoke to the student body about her struggles in life and how she overcame them to become the person she is today. Students then had the opportunity to visit with over 70 representatives from various clubs, organizations, agencies and community groups. The informational booths introduced and educated our students, making them aware of resources that are available to them to enhance their overall social emotional and behavioral well-being. Volunteerism was also highlighted this year as an important component of wellness. Students not only learned of ways to support themselves, but learned of avenues to support our community by volunteering. The high school is proud of how engaged our students were and thank our community organizations for their continued support
