HBE's 5th graders have been learning about volume and how to figure out the volume of composite figures. Students had to use the volume formula to find the additive volume of multiple rectangular prisms. They then took their knowledge and created animals and/or creatures out of recycled boxes. Finally, they had to find the total volume of their creations. Our students shared their projects with their peers and the rest of the school today.
