HBE: Word Detective Reading Unit

First graders at HBE completed their Word Detective Reading Unit with a graduation-style celebration. These 'Detectives' spent weeks learning how readers use their word detective strategies to decode tricky words. The students were so proud of themselves and their accomplishments. It was a great day celebrating reading!
