The second grade classes at HBE celebrated the completion of their writing unit on nonfiction text by sharing their work with students, staff and family. During this unit, students worked for several weeks on becoming an expert on topics and writing abut their topics. They incorporated text features and topic specific vocabulary into their nonfiction books.
