Getting to Family ID
- Go to our school district’s website, https://www.pjschools.org/, scroll down, and click the Registration button under the scrolling images.
OR
- Go to the school district’s registration page: https://www.pjschools.org/about/student-registration
▪ Read through the information you will need to register.
▪ When you are ready to begin, click the red rectangle labeled “Register Now”
AND THEN
- You will be sent to the FamilyID page for the Port Jervis City Schools Central Registrar https://www.familyid.com/organizations/port-jervis-city-schools-central-registrar
To Register for Pre-Kindergarten (UPK)
If your child’s birthday is between 12/01/2018 and 11/30/2019, he or she is eligible for UPK for the 2023-2024 School Year.
- Once your on Family ID, you will select the Program you need for registering your child(ren): If you are registering for next school year (July 2023-June 2024),
Select:“New Student Registration 2023-2024 Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK)" - You will CREATE AN ACCOUNT, with User ID and password, to complete your registration form. Each student must be registered individually. If you already have a FamilyID account, you should be able to create a new registration after you sign in to your existing account.
- You will be asked to upload or provide the following documents to complete the registration:
- Student’s birth certificate
- Two (2) proofs of residency in the PJCSD
- Student’s immunization records
- A copy of the student's most recent physical
- Custody papers, if applicable
- Bus Transportation Form and/or Babysitter Transportation Form, if applicable
Once you have completed and submitted your registration, the registrar will contact you by phone or email about your submission.
To Register for Kindergarten
If your child’s birthday is between 12/01/2017 and 11/30/2018, he or she is eligible for Kindergarten for the 2023-2024 School Year.
- Once your on Family ID, you will select the Program you need for registering your child(ren): If you are registering for next school year (July 2023-June 2024),
Select:“New Student Registration 2023-2024 Grades K-12" - You will CREATE AN ACCOUNT, with User ID and password, to complete your registration form. Each student must be registered individually. If you already have a FamilyID account, you should be able to create a new registration after you sign in to your existing account.
- You will be asked to upload or provide the following documents to complete the registration:
- Student’s birth certificate
- Two (2) proofs of residency in the PJCSD
- Student’s immunization records
- Kindergarten Screening Form
- Custody papers, if applicable
- Bus Transportation Form and/or Babysitter Transportation Form, if applicable

To Register for Grades 1-12
