District seeking public
input for next year's budget
The lengthy process of developing the budget for the 2008-2009
school year is now underway.
An important date on the
budget development calendar
is the Community Budget Workshop. A Community Budget Workshop
was
held Jan. 10 to provide tax payers with an
opportunity to provide input prior to the preparation of
the first draft of next year's budget.
Following the Community Budget Workshop and a subsequent Board
of Education budget workshop, the School Board will adopt
a proposed budget at its April 17 meeting.
A series of informational budget presentations will then be held
throughout the community to provide taxpayers with detailed
information about the proposed budget prior
the May 6 Budget Hearing. Please check back for the budget
presentation dates and locations.
