Students help select finishes for high
school auditorium renovation
The Board of Education is involving students in
the restoration of the Port Jervis High School auditorium. A
group of high school students have been invited to serve on the
mini-committee that's responsible for reviewing finishes for the
auditorium seat covers, flooring, wall coverings, and paint
colors.
The committee's recommendations will be shared
with the full school board at its April 26 public meeting. Work
is expected to start on the auditorium renovation in June. The
restoration is part of the $14.6 million capital projects
referendum approved by voters Dec. 12, 2006.
