Girls Varsity Softball team wins 2007 Section 9 Title

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Softball team on winning its second consecutive Section 9 Championship! The softball team won the title June 2 by shutting out Cornwall High School 2-1.

 

After capturing the section title, the Raiders went on to beat Section 4 champs Maine-Endwell June 5, 5-2, in the opening round of the state playoffs. The team, which finished the season with an 18-4 record, will now advance to the Class A state quarterfinals to take on Section 1 champion Hendrick Hudson today at 5:30 p.m.
