Contract for Excellence
The Contract for Excellence is a plan the Port Jervis School
District must file with the State Education Department to
provide details on how it is planning to use the $2.8
million in state foundation aid it will receive to improve
student performance during the 2008-2009 school year.
State
law established five categories of allowable expenditures
for the additional state aid: class size reduction,
increased student time for learning, restructuring of
schools, teacher and principal quality initiatives and
full-day kindergarten and pre-kindergarten.
