Dear parents/guardians and
students,
It is hard to believe that the new school year is here. I hope
everyone enjoyed their summer vacation and are ready to return
to school with a positive attitude and a passion for learning.
Our first day of school for students is Wednesday, September 3
and Open House is
scheduled for the following Tuesday, September 9.
Parents of 7th grade students are invited to attend a special
orientation from 6 - 6:45 p.m. prior to the 7 p.m. Open House.
An A.I.S. information meeting is schedule in Room 102 from 6:45
- 7 p.m..
We have had a number of changes in staffing over the summer.
Please assist me in extending a
warm welcome to the following very talented and dedicated
individuals:
Mr. Cancredi - Assistant Principal
Mr. Dorn and Ms. Roda - Physical Education teachers
Ms. Ludenwall - AIS English teacher
Mr. Eldredge - Special Education teacher
Mr. Murphy - English teacher
Mrs. Barilla - Monitor
Our middle school has been under construction the entire summer
and off limits to everyone! You can imagine that it is a huge
undertaking to complete the construction projects that included,
but were not limited to, installation of a sprinkler system,
asbestos abatement, painting, carpeting, and new tile in the
health office and then prepare our halls and classrooms for
opening day. Our custodial staff has done an outstanding job
this summer and is currently completing the finishing touches to
the building.
Your student’s homeroom
will be posted at the school entrance the first day of school
and staff will be available for any assistance.
In homeroom, class schedules and planners for the school year
will be distributed. Parents should check this assignment
planner throughout the year as well as familiarize yourself with
the handbook section of the planner, as it contains school
information and discipline policies.
