The PTA
sponsors many programs throughout the school year that are
special events for our children. Here are some of them:
K-6 Assembly Programs - Book Fairs - Red Ribbon Week 'Say No
to Drugs" - Honor Roll Ice-Cream Socials - Monthly Perfect
Attendance - Mad Science After School Programs - AR Basket
Drawings - Teacher Luncheon - Bus Driver Appreciation Lunch -
Rita's Ices - Soap Box Derby Race (one PTA member's child,
ages 10 & up, can enter into the drawing for a chance to drive
the HBE PTA car in June).

Fall
Fundraiser:
Mixed Bag Designs
Spring Fundraiser: Gertrude Hawk, Feb. 6-21.
The
HBE PTA invited Bill Streeter and his feathered friends from the
Delaware Valley Raptor Center to visit our third and
fourth grade students on June 8, 2011. The Delaware Valley
Raptor Center, located in Milford, is dedicated to the
rehabilitation and conservation of birds of prey (hawks, eagles,
owls, falcons, and vultures).
Streeter
used permanently injured raptors, during this assembly, to
educate our students about predator/prey relationships, wildlife
rehabilitation, specific adaptations of these birds, and various
issues facing wildlife today. Being able to view these
magnificent birds up close and listen to Streeter's stories,
helped our students to cultivate an awareness and respect for
all birds, as well as all wildlife.
It was a joyful and magical experience for our students. For
