Dobbs helps
secure ExxonMobil Grant
Hamilton
Bicentennial Elementary School has received a $500 grant from
the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program.
Jason Dobbs, owner of J’s Mobil station in Port Jervis, once
again secured the educational grant which is one of 4,000
available to schools across the country. These grants were made
possible by funding from the Exxon Mobil Corporation. the
ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program is designed to provide
Exxon and Mobil retailers with an opportunity to invest in the
future of their communities through educational grants to
neighborhood schools. ExxonMobil believes that local retailers,
as members of the community, are best qualified to work with
local educators to help identify schools and programs most in
need of support.
J's Mobil station met stringent eligibility criteria before
applying for and being awarded this grant, including having a
commitment to provide a superior buying experience for
customers.
The intent of this year’s grants is to support mathematics and
science educational programs. Bicentennial Principal Sharon
Dickstein said the grant money will be used to supplement the
school’s annual sixth grade field trip to Philadelphia where
students visit one of the region’s top science museums - the
Franklin Institute, along with the Philadelphia Zoo and
Independence Seaport Museum.
“We appreciate Mr. Dobbs’ continued interest and support of
projects that benefit our students,” said Dickstein.
